Tao Meets Tech: Emerging Global Trends in Religious Communication
WACC President Dennis Smith and General Secretary Randy Naylor will explore the global impact of communication technologies on religious communication. Together with several of the Global Partners present at RCCongress 2010, they will examine four areas:
- How new religious movements are using communication technologies to impact politics and culture
- Gender and the news media
- Current religious approaches to radio and television
- Religious institutions, new media and social networking
This multi-disciplinary panel will illustrate the increasingly nuanced conversation between personal faith, religion communicators, technology and the social sciences.
