Digital-Culture Evangelist

RCCongress 2010 Workshop:

Social Media Marketing

Unlike the other chemistry majors that Leah Jones graduated with, she didn’t go on to grad school or med school, but started down a winding path that has included stand-up comedy, waiting tables, managing a student residence hall in London, and scooping ice cream.

Along the way she started blogging, got placed by a temp agency at Edelman PR where she is now the Digital-Culture Evangelist. She has written for publications about the intersection of Judaism and the internet, teaches colleagues digital skills, and can be found holding court at most Chicago events organized over Twitter.

Social Media Marketing

Go beyond tactics and buzz words to talk about real conversations — with real people and in real life — for companies and organizations in the changing media landscape.

“ One of the things I love about social media and digital is how accessible it is.

People can get into it using low-cost, off-the-shelf parts or people can teach themselves new programming languages and build from the ground up. ”

~ Leah Jones in “Who Can Do Digital?” on Authenticities, the Edelman Digital Blog
