RCCongress 2010 Workshop:

Program for Closing Banquet

Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC), founded and directed by Eboo Patel, builds mutual respect and pluralism among young people from different religious traditions by empowering them to work together to serve others.

New Orleans Days of Interfaith Youth Service (DIYS) 2007, part of an international DIYS campaign organized by the Chicago-based non profit, Interfaith Youth Core.

Through three broad program areas — Public Advocacy; Outreach Education and Training; and Leadership — IFYC builds relationships on the shared values of hospitality and caring for the earth, and creates a movement of young people who bridge their religious differences with relationships of mutual respect and common action.

IFYC provides young people and the institutions that support them with leadership training, inspiration, project resources, and a connection to a broader movement.

Program for Closing Banquet

IFYC will share with RCCongress 2010 participants a multi-voice, interfaith, spoken-word performance that illuminates the religious experiences of young people in contemporary America.

“ A social entrepreneur is somebody who knows how to make an idea reality, and one of the great ideas of our time is pluralism.

Can people from different backgrounds live together in mutual peace and loyalty?

...what we need is a generation of young social entrepreneurs who know how to make that great idea reality... ”
