RCCongress 2010 Workshop:

In the Spotlight: Media Interviews for Religion Communicators

Anuttama Dasa is Director of Communications and a member of the Governing Body Commission of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), a Vaishnava, or monotheistic Hindu, tradition.

His media experience includes interviews on Dateline, Larry King Live, Fox Morning News, Paula Zahn, and the BBC. (Most of these he handled pretty well. The others you will learn about if you attend his workshop on media training.)

He has taught communications courses in North America, South America, Europe, India, Russia, Australasia and Africa, and for a diverse number of organizations including the World Parliament of Religions.

He is a former board member of the Society for Hindu-Christian Studies within the American Academy of Religion, and former vice president of the Religion Communicators Council (RCC), during which he authored the chapter “America is Interfaith” in the RCC’s Speaking Faith: The Essential Handbook for Religion Communicators.

“ You could be promoting Coca-Cola, but instead you chose to spread God’s message.

Be strengthened by that!

And remember: God loves communicators, too. ”
